Name of Society:

The name of the Society is Kirpal Ruhani Satsang Society.

Office:

The registered office of Kirpal Ruhani Satsand Society will be situated in Chandigarh Province.

Area of Operation:

Jurisdiction of Kirpal Rujani Satsang Society is Union Territory, Chandigarh.

Aims and Objectives:

The objects for which the society is created are the following:

  1. To maintain and keep in proper order the building of the Ruhani Satsang, and to properly manage, look after and maintain the Satsang locally and at various places in India.
  2. To run purely ethical and Spiritual classes and libraries for the benefit of its members and the public. It shall neither be a political nor a communal body.
  3. To publish useful literature with a view to spread ethical and spiritual knowledge and maintain brotherhood of man and fatherhood of God on spiritual basis.
  4. To promote cultural activities, through meetings, symposia, releases of publications, Satsangs etc. with a view to disseminate message of Love and Truth and help establish integration of mankind.
  5. To do such acts as are incidental or conclusive to impart purely ethical and spiritual knowledge as a science in the country and abroad.
  6. To maintain accounts properly of all receipts of donations and disbursements thereof and to see that no portion thereof shall be paid directly or indirectly by way of dividend, bonus or otherwise howsoever by way of profit to the members of the society provided that nothing shall prevent the paying in good faith of remuneration to any officers or servants of the society or any member of the society or other person in return for any service actually rendered to the society or the payment of interest at a reasonable rate of money borrowed from any member of the society.
  7. To appoint committee or sub-committee to look after and manage the various affairs of the Ruhani Satsang.

Rules and Regulations of "Kirpal Ruhani Satsang Society" regd.:

  1. The Society will have thirteen members who will be the Trustees of the society.
  2. The Managing Committee of the Society will consist of thirteen Trustees including also the office-bearers. The Executive authority of the society will vest in the Managing Committee.
  3. Besides the President of the Society will have four other office-bearers who will be elected after every three years from amongst the Members of the Managing Committee.
  4. To appoint the President , the members of the Managing Committee has the power to nominate from amongst the members registered with the Registrar of Societies Chandigarh in Kirpal Satsang Society, by majority of votes of not less than three-fifth of the members then present.
  5. Membership of the managing Committee:

    A. Eligibility: The following conditions will govern the eligibility of the members to the Managing Committee.

      1. Any person can be considered as a Trustee provided he belives in the Aims and Objects of the Society for a period of at least three years.
      2. He is a pious person, is vegetarian (abstaining from all meat, fish, fowl and eggs) and is a teetotaler (i.e. avoiding intoxicants).His living should be sedate and his character should be sound. He must not have married more than once during the life time of his wife.
      3. He/she must have conducted a good moral life and given a good impression in general of his moral and spiritual pursuits.
      4. He/She must not have been convicted of any offences involving moral turpitude.
      5. He/She should have been initiated on the path by a Master-soul and should not be minor or insane.
    B. Appointments: The appointment of a member to the managing committee of a society will be made by majority of votes of not less than three-fifth of members present, after his name is sponsored by any two members of the Managing Committee one of whom should be the President.

    C. Resignation: Every member is at liberty to resign from the membership of the Managing Committee on giving a notice in writing to the President. The member will be deemed to have resigned from the day such resignation is accepted by the Managing Committee.

    D. Removal:
    1. In the event of the death of member he/she will be considered to have ceased to be member of the Managing Committee from the date of death.
    2.  Any member of the Managing Committee who is convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude or has ceased to live according as is laid in 5 (a) - (i) to (iv) above, or has become insane or has become insane or has been declared insolvent by competent authority shall render himself liable to be removed or suspended until the final decision by the Managing Committee by a majority of three-fifth of the votes cast in secret ballot after it has been notified for at least one month in advance.

  6. The managing Committee will frame by-laws for discharging the various purposes of the Society to manage the properties thereof to give stipends and donations to windows and needy persons, to manage Satsangs and other properties. The Managing Committee shall also frame by-laws regarding rights and duties of office-bearers and shall act in accordance with these by-laws.
  7. The Managing Committee will have power to amend, alter or add to objects rules and by-laws.
  8. The whole property of the Society shall vest in the Managing Committee.
  9. Meeting of the Managing committee will be held at least half-yearly. Those also be held as and when required.  
  10. The Managing Committee shall have regular accounts of the Trust funds maintained. It shall have an account of the Kirpal Ruhani Satsang opened in one or more banks and have right to invest such monies as are not imaginary required in such securities as they considered proper or allowed by law.
  11. The President or the Secretary (any one of the two) is authorized to sign all the documents of the Kirpal Ruhani Satsang trust (also known as Ruhani Satsang Chandigarh) on behalf of the said Society. They are also authorized to delegate these powers to any other person in writing.
  12. The property moveable and immovable and disposal of any dispute arising regarding Satsang affairs shall vest and be managed by the Managing Committee of the Society and all legal proceedings CiviL and Criminal may be described as the property of the Managing Committee of Kirpal Ruhani Satsang.
  13. The Managing Committee of the Society is authorized to transfer the property of the Society in its interest.
  14. No member of the Society (Managing Committee) is authorized to incur any debt or liability in his personal capacity on behalf of the Society. However Managing Committee is empowered to raise money in the shape of loan in the interest of the Society.
  15. Once in every year , on or before the fourteenth day succeeding the day on which the annual general meeting of the Society is held , a list shall be filed with the Registrar of the Societies Chandigarh, of the names, addresses , occupation and designation of the members of the managing committee of the Society.
  16. The trustees shall be vigilant with regard to offences mentioned in section 11 of the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 and this Society will not in any way be responsible to help or shield any one of them from result or consequences arising out of carelessness and deliberate acts in contravention of the basis and essential principals on which this Society is established.
  17. Whenever it shall appear to the Managing Committee of the Society that it is advisable to alter, extend or abridge such purpose to or for other proposes within the meaning of the aims and objects of the Society or to amalgamate such society either wholly or partially with other Society or Societies, such Managing Committee may submit proposition to the member of the Society in a written or printed report and may convene special meeting Society, but no such proposition shall be carried into effect unless such report shall have been delivered or sent by post to every member of the Society ten days previous to the special meeting convened by the Managing Committee for the consideration thereof , nor unless such proposition shall have been agreed to by the votes of three-fifths of the members delivered in person or by proxy and confirmed by the votes of three-fifths of the members present at a second special meeting convened by Managing Committee at an interval of one month after the former meeting.
  18. Any member not less than three-fifths of the members of the Society may determine that it shall be dissolved and there upon it shall be dissolved forth with, or at the time , then agreed upon, and all necessary steps shall be taken for disposal and settlement of the property of the Society its claims and liabilities, according to the riles of the Society applicable there to, if any ,a and if not , then as the Managing Committee shall fined expedient, provided that in the event of any dispute arising among the said Managing Committee or the members of the Society , the adjustment of its affairs shall be referred to the Principal Court of original Jurisdiction (Civil) of the District in which the chief building of the Society shall not be dissolved unless three-fifths of the members shall have expressed a wish for such dissolution by their votes delivered in person or by proxy , at a general meeting convened for the purpose, provided that whenever any Government is a member of , or a contributor to , or otherwise interested in the Society then it shall not be dissolved without the content of the Government of the province of Registration.
  19. If upon the dissolution of the Society there shall remain after the satisfaction of all its debt and liabilities any property what so ever the same shall not be paid to or distributed among the members of the said society or any of them, but shall be given to some other society to be determined by the votes o not less than three fifths of the members present personally or by proxy at the time of the dissolution, or in default thereof, by such court as aforesaid.
  20. Executive Committee: There shall be an Executive Committee consisting of the following office-bearers/members.
